Dr. Marcia's Apothecary Story.
I was born in San José, Costa Rica, and from an early age, I faced health challenges that shaped my life. Gastritis and duodenal ulcers were constant companions for years, and despite visiting numerous doctors, I never found the cure I was looking for.
This personal journey inspired me to study Nutrition at the University of Costa Rica. While changing my diet and lifestyle improved my health, true healing came when I moved to Guanacaste. Surrounded by the ocean, tranquility, and nature, I experienced a transformation that healed not only my body but also my mind and spirit. It was in this harmony that I discovered the real power of natural medicine and the wisdom hidden in our medicinal plants.
My passion led me to specialize in Plant Medicine at the Institut de Barcelona.
In 2017, I began creating phytotherapeutic products—born from ancestral knowledge, science, and my own healing experience.
What started as a personal quest became Dr. Marcia’s Apothecary, a place dedicated to offering authentic, natural solutions rooted in the richness of Costa Rica’s flora and the wisdom of our ancestors.
